How to Design Custom Golf Hats with Your Logo

Step 1: Choose the Right Hat Style

The designer has 35 hat styles in five groups: Trucker Hats, Performance Hats, Rope Hats, Dad, Gramps & Flat Bill Hats, and Camo & Printed Hats. Here are a few popular starting points.

Custom Richardson 112 Hats (Mid Profile Trucker)

The Richardson 112 Mid Profile Trucker is a 6-panel, mid-profile hat with a precurved bill. It has a cotton-polyester twill front (60% cotton / 40% polyester), a 100% polyester mesh back and an adjustable snapback closure. It comes in 122 colors in our designer. Custom Richardson 112 hats start at $12.62 per hat at 144+ hats and $18.76 per hat at 12 hats.

Custom Rope Hats

Rope hats have a classic look with a contrast rope across the bill. Our rope hat options include:

• Richardson 258 Classic 5 Panel Rope Hat: from $14.06 per hat at 144+ ($20.73 at 12).
• Richardson 112FPR Five Panel Trucker with Rope: from $12.37 per hat at 144+ ($18.42 at 12).
• Richardson 355 Perforated Performance Rope Hat: a 5-panel, mid-profile hat with a speckled paracord bill rope, a nylon cotton blend (60% nylon / 40% cotton), laser-perforated side and back panels and a Stay-Dri sweatband. From $16.57 per hat at 144+ ($24.18 at 12).

Performance Hats

If you want a lighter, more technical hat for the course, look at the Performance Hats group. One example is the Richardson 632 Perforated Performance. It is a 6-panel, mid-profile hat made of laser-perforated Ignite LT fabric (98% polyester / 2% spandex), with a Stay-Dri sweatband and an R-Flex adjustable snapback.

Step 2: Upload Your Logo (or Have Us Design One)

After you pick a style and color, upload your logo. You can use a PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF up to 20 MB. In the preview, drag your logo to move it and use the corner handle or size slider to resize it. Then choose a front placement: center, offset left or offset right. The preview is only a guide. Your final placement is confirmed on your proof.

Don't have a logo? Choose "Have us design one." Logo design is free. We create the logo and include it with your proof so you can approve it.

Step 3: Pick a Decoration

The decoration you choose changes how your custom logo golf hat looks and feels. Here are the options in our designer:

• 3D Puff Embroidery: +$5.00 per hat.
• Leather Patch: +$4.00 per hat.
• Woven Patch: +$3.00 per hat (48 hat minimum).

Add Extra Logo Locations

Want a second logo, such as a sponsor mark, an event date or a club crest? You can add artwork on the left side, the right side or the back for +$3.00 per hat for each location. Describe your side or back artwork in the notes, and we will lay it out on your proof.

Step 4: Understand Minimums and Price Breaks

Our pricing is simple:

• 12 hat minimum per logo for flat embroidery, 3D puff embroidery and leather patches.
• 48 hat minimum per logo for woven, embroidered and PVC patches.
• Price breaks start at 24, 48, 72 and 144 hats.

Hats that share the same logo are priced together across colors and styles. For example, you can order some Richardson 112 trucker hats and some Richardson 258 rope hats with the same logo, in different colors. All of them count toward the same price break. Just use "Add another color with this logo" in the designer.

Step 5: Approve Your Free Pre-Production Proof

Every order includes a free pre-production proof within 24 hours. It shows your logo, decoration and placement on the hat you picked. Nothing goes into production until you approve it, so you can make changes before any hats are made.

Tips for Better Custom Logo Golf Hats

• Send your best file. Vector files (SVG or PDF) or high-resolution PNGs give the cleanest proof.
• Match the decoration to your order size. Woven, embroidered and PVC patches need 48 hats per logo. For smaller runs, choose flat embroidery, 3D puff embroidery or a leather patch.
• Combine styles to reach a better price. Since hats with the same logo are priced together, mixing colors or styles can help you reach the next price break.
• Use the notes field. Tell us about thread colors, side or back artwork, or anything else you want on your proof.
